20 is Plenty

Local rivals agree set prices in reciprocal agreement.

We are delighted to announce that, in a Yorkshire first, Rovers and local rivals Barnsley have agreed to drop ticket prices when the sides meet this season.

Barnsley come to Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday 3rd October 2015 (3pm) and the reverse fixture takes place at Oakwell on Saturday 20th February 2016 (3pm) in what should prove to be two cracking Yorkshire derbies.

Rovers Marketing and Communications Manager Ryan Murrant said: “We sat down with our counterparts at Barnsley last week and discussed how we can make these big games bigger.”

“We have had some real fixture congestion already this season and this is a great way to get more people backing both sides. The two clubs value their home and away support and want a better atmosphere at games, so we have agreed prices and we now look forward to these more affordable games attracting bigger crowds.

“I don’t know of many other local derbies where the prices would actually come down so fair play to both clubs for making this great decision. The reciprocal deal means that our adult fans will save up to £5 on their match tickets.”

The price reduction also aligns with the Football Supporters Federations "National weekend of action” where members and supporters will ask Premier League Clubs to lower away fan prices.

Prices for both games will be as follows:

Adults £20
Senior £14
17-21 £10
Under 16 £5
Under 12 £1
