Funding Available For Teams Wanting To Join The league

Any team wishing to join the Doncaster Rovers Senior League can now apply for a grant for funding. Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA has a limited number of grants available to support the creation of new teams. As well as being completely new teams these can also be teams making the transition from junior to open age football, moving from Sunday football or forming a new Saturday team to run alongside a Sunday team, new reserve sides etc. Funding of up to £750 will be available to those clubs/teams that are successful. Successful clubs/teams will receive a £500 voucher to be used through our kit providers. This can be spent on kit and equipment the team require, which may include; a full adult team strip, footballs, first aid kit and water bottles, etc. The remainder of £250 would be sent to a club bank account, which can be used for such thing as affiliation to the CFA, league registration fee and pitch hire.

Our league fees have just been confirmed for next season and they have been reduced meaning we still are the most affordable open age league in the district. On top of that remember that every game is refereed by qualified officials and due to changes in people’s lifestyles we actively promote flexible kick off times if they can be agreed by both teams to suit theirs and their player needs. On top of this support and mentoring is provided for all teams to aid in the administration and running of your club and our online system for your player registrations and match returns saves you both time and money making running a team less work and far more affordable. We offer assistance in helping our teams achieve Charter Standard status in order for them to receive more grants and help from the F.A. and it’s partners whilst making sure all our clubs are also receiving the money and grants they are entitled to in order to help them develop and grow.
